Photographer, Illustrator, Designer, Artist, Mother, Daughter,
Wife...
and a kid at heart!!
I have been a professional graphic designer, artist and photographer
for over 25 years.
My grandmother put a Kodak Brownie in my hands when I was very young...
I have been hooked on photography ever since. I got my first SLR
in high school, and worked on the school newspaper & yearbook.
I had a make-shift darkroom in my parents hall closet. The photography
bug had bitten!
My first paid art project (my dad asked me to paint the trash can)
was not glamorous but brought me more work (painting vans, cars
and signs for buildings).
At my first real job, after 2 months on the job, I was
deemed too artsy to be a resource library assistant and was re-assigned
to the graphics department. I found my calling.
I graduated college with a degree in Visual Arts/Photography and
worked for several years in the Superior Court as well as doing
freelance art/design jobs. After moving to North Jersey, I wore
many hats while working in a wholesale photo/camera store.
Another move found me back in South Jersey. Married and with children
I went back to school to learn how to do all this art and design
on a computer. I also began experimenting with digital photography.
I opened my own studio in 1998, working in graphic design, illustration and photography. I began
shooting stock photography in 2004,
and I am experimenting more with fine art and on location portrait photography.
I am also able to leap tall buildings in a single bound while balancing
my time between design, illustration, photography, extending my
knowledge in the field, and raising three children with my husband.
